supported independent living
Supported independent living is personal assistance for people who live alone, with family or a carer, but still need varying amounts of support in their daily lives.
Our aim is to encourage and empower individuals to take control and make choices within their everyday lives. We use person centred approaches to inform the planning process to develop individualised support plans in consultation with the person being supported, their family and other professionals.
The amount of support varies greatly and is dependent on need. Some people may only require a few hours a week whilst others require 24 hour support. The ‘goal’ of our service is to help people take control of their own lives and have a central role in deciding on the support they need.
