Events

An event to celebrate the successes and achievements of our staff, volunteers and people we support over the past year.

We are holding a celebration event at Cardiff City Stadium to recognise the achievements of people we support, staff, volunteers and carers from across Wales. The event will recognise achievements, the positive contributions people have made within their communities and the outcomes people have achieved. Together, we will celebrate the outstanding work of mirus staff and volunteers and the difference they have made to people’s lives.

The programme for the event includes:

  • An Awards ceremony where 8 awards will be presented presented; these will be based on nominations received from people we support, their families / carers, staff and partner agencies.
  • The Award of qualification certificates to all staff who have achieved a work based qualification over the past year.
  • A buffet lunch.
  • Music and dancing.

This year we’re having local and national mirus awards. To help us celebrate the achievements of even more people, each area will have a local awards event as part of ‘Better Together’ in late February to early March 2020. The best nominations will then be taken forward to the national mirus awards.
