Help us to celebrate 40 years!

Have you worked for Opportunity Housing Trust, or Mirus? Can you help us celebrate?

We are 40 YEARS OLD in November. Our journey began with the movement to get people out of hospitals and institutions. Our journey continued as we made this a reality for so many people.

The world has changed a lot since then. But the need for people to live good lives in communities where they are loved, hasn’t.

There are always threats to community-based approaches that we, and our third sector supported living colleagues, face. This year is no exception.
We also know that so many people across Wales started, or spent part of their career, at OHT, or Mirus.

We’d love you to share a short video or note with us to celebrate. We will then combine these into compilation videos we can share to celebrate what the supported living sector has achieved together.

Suggestions for questions you can answer:

• What do you remember about your career at OHT?
• Why is supported living so important to you?
• What changes have you seen over the last 40 years?
• What do you think the next 40 years will bring for learning disability support?

…And anything else you want to say.
