It’s International Women’s Day!

To celebrate #IWD2021 we asked #women from mirus to tell us about their achievements, & what makes them proud.

Aimee has worked with us for a fantastic TEN YEARS and has developed her skills, and progressed her career to be part of the Health & Wellbeing team. #ChooseToChallenge

Monica has worked with mirus for 7 years, and has developed her knowledge and skills in order to progress her career to become an Area Manager. Monica feels proud to work alongside so many professional women, who empower people to achieve their goals.

Annika loves sharing the stories and achievements of a diverse range of people through her work with mirus. The culture in mirus means that everyone feels empowered, their opinions and ideas are valued, and they can stand up for what they believe in.

Kelly has recently joined mirus to help us recruit passionate and enthusiastic people who share our values. We support a diverse range of people, and Kelly is keen to ensure that our workforce reflects this.

Kay is part of our leadership team in mirus. During her 20 years working with us, Kay has seen so many women making an incredible contribution to improving the lives of others. This #IWD2021 Kay would like to celebrate everyone who helps to break down barriers.

Ceredigion Area Manager, Sally is impressed by how determined the women we support are. She says so many of them are so passionate about achieving their goals that they make sure their voices are heard, despite the challenges they may face.

At the start of Rachel’s career, an experienced female staff member praised her ability to engage with people with a learning disability. This encouragement led her to work with mirus. Rachel hopes that she can support other women in the same way.
