Sharing our experiences at the Learning Disability Wales conference

We had a wonderful time at the Learning Disability Wales annual conference in Newport yesterday.

Everyone appreciated the opportunity to come together and see friends old and new. There was a visit from Julie Morgan, the Welsh Government Deputy Minister for Social Services, a fantastic piece of interactive theatre from Hi-Jinx and a rousing speech to close from Joe Powell the Chief Executive of All Wales People First.

At our workshop, we talked about how we’ve supported people to make even more connections with other people and their communities since coming out of the pandemic.

We really enjoyed listening to the experiences, suggestions and feedback from people who attended our workshop. Many people worked together and supported each other to make the workshop a success. Feedback from Learning Disability Wales was that people really loved our workshop and a large number of people attended. We’ve got some great ideas to take forward from the workshop, and we hope we’ve inspired you too!

In case you missed it, here’s the video we showed on the day, featuring James, Nigel and Scott and the people who support them as they do activities in their communities.
