Staff member Abi’s hard work is recognised

Our staff come with passion, energy and a great pride in their work, and have the positive attitude and skills required to deliver an outstanding service. We recognise the value in rewarding a job well done, and our new initiative ‘mirus Moments’ gives staff and people we support the opportunity to thank staff for their input.

mirus Moments allows people to choose from a range of physical or electronic thank you cards, with messages such as ‘You always go above and beyond’ and ‘You inspire me’, and fill them out with the reason they have chosen to nominate the member of staff.

Each month Area Managers select a deserving winner from their region, and the staff member receives £20 in their mirus Rewards account. So far, feedback from staff has been positive, and the number of nominations has increased each month since it’s launch.

Abi, Swansea’s first mirus Moment winner says: “I was so happy to find out that I had been nominated for a mirus Moment, and thrilled to discover I had won. It’s not about the money for me, but the recognition that I am doing a good job. It’s made me want to push myself harder.”

Abi received 4 nominations from her area, recognising her dedication to the people she supports and her understanding and supportive management style. One nomination read:

“You believed in and encouraged me even though I lacked confidence in myself. It means a lot to have a manager that will push me to achieve my potential.”
