We’re a Disability Confident employer
Mirus has achieved Disability Confident Committed status, recognising our commitment to creating an inclusive workplace where disability is not a barrier to employment or career development.

Many of our volunteers support groups that match their own interests and hobbies, and they help to create groups where people can build friendships and feel part of and involved in their communities.
During Volunteers’ Week, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who gives their time, energy, and ideas to support Stronger Communities. The difference our volunteers make in the lives of the people we support is huge, and can be seen in the friendships people have built, the confidence people have gained, and the independence people have grown.
We’re excited to welcome a new volunteer to the Communities Team this summer.
From June until August, Menna will be helping the team learn more about the interests, hobbies and goals of the people we support, by looking through person-centred support plans. This will help us to spot shared interests and point people towards opportunities already available in their local areas, identify gaps in what’s available locally, and set up future Stronger Communities groups and volunteering opportunities around what people want to do.
We caught up with Menna to ask her a few questions – watch the video:
