Mirus has achieved Disability Confident Committed status, recognising our commitment to creating an inclusive workplace where disability is not a barrier to employment or career development.
In shared supported living the person has their own tenancy in a shared house; usually the tenancies are with Housing Associations, but they can also be with private landlords.
The person we support always has their own bedroom, but will usually share other facilities like the living room, kitchen and sometimes the bathroom with other people.
People who share a home often find that they become good friends, and support each other as well as being supported by Mirus.
Support services shaped by the people who use them.
We work together with the people we support, their families, friends and other community members to create support plans that work each person. People have voice, choice and control in everything they do, including how they are supported.
People can focus on areas such as home life, friends and relationships, having a job, learning new things, having control of my money, feeling good and being healthy and having the right support.
We listen to and value each person’s unique voice and experiences, and what people tell us matters to them helps us to shape our services, focus on what is important to people, and remove barriers in society.

We know that people have better lives when they feel part of their local community – and the community benefits too!
We work with others to build networks that encourage people to explore opportunities, discover new interests, develop relationships and enhance their independence.
