An event was held to say thank you to all supporters of the community garden. Sean, who is supported by mirus in Maesteg, and also volunteers in the garden, was there to represent mirus.

Our Support Worker roles provide an ideal opportunity to develop knowledge and experience within the field of learning disabilities.
We are looking for staff who will support people to build relationships, develop new skills, try new activities and seek out new opportunities. You must have a positive attitude and be able to bring passion and energy to this role in order to achieve this. The ability to follow detailed plans is essential.
In return, we will ensure that you will receive a comprehensive induction and training programmes. We will also support you to gain qualifications, learn new skills and progress your career.

Complex Support Worker
Our Complex Support Worker roles provide an opportunity to develop understanding around the field of complex disabilities and Autism. It is essential that you are able to work as part of a team, ensuring inclusion of all in developing and reviewing plans.

Assistant Team Manager
Our Assistant Team Managers ensure there is consistent day to day leadership of staffing resources. As an Assistant Team Leader you will manage the delivery of a quality service.
These posts require commitment to people supported and the support teams, ensuring the whole team are backed and encouraged, creating opportunity for growth and development.
Team Manager
Our Team Managers are key in effectively communicating with people we support, relatives, advocates, our teams and external agencies. To ensure that support is tailored to Person Centered needs and demonstrating clear outcomes for the people we support.
The Team Manager role requires fundamental leadership qualities to support the team and to ensure all key information is provided to the Area Manager for further development of service.
Area Manager
Our Area Managers deliver a consistent, high quality, person centered services, in line with Care Inspectorate Wales and mirus quality standards, contractual requirements, key legislation, policy and practice standards.
The Area Manager role develops effective networks, relationships and partnerships to support continuous growth and quality development, while managing agreed budgets, key growth targets.
Central Staff
There are a variety of opportunities centrally as with any organisation we need passionate, committed, driven professionals to take care of the fundamental functions of our business. From Finance to HR, Business Support to IT our Central Staff support us to support the people we support.
Volunteer
Our volunteers, are aged 18 or over, and commit some of their time, on a regular basis. Don’t fret if you do not have any experience because there is a free training programme that includes a befriending induction, safeguarding, first aid, and much more. A DBS is undertaken for all volunteers which we will help our volunteers complete.
